ANNAVARAM TEMPLE

Annavaram a village is situated on the banks of river Pampa in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh in India.
The meaning of Anna-varam is as follows. "Anna" means whatever you say or you desire and "varam" means boon, hence whatever you desire will be given as boon by the deity.
The most distinctive feature of Annavaram is the shrine to Lord Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy on the hill top. The name of the Goddess is Ananta- lakshmi Satyavathi Ammavaru.
The Vijayawada-Vishakhapatnam section of the South Central Railways (SCR) and the Kolkata-Chennai National Highway (NH)-5 pass via Annavaram. The nearest railway station is Annavaram, two miles away from the temple. Some of the important trains plying on the Vijayawada - Vishakapatnam section of the SCR like the Chennai - Howrah Mail and Vijayawada - Vishakapatnam Ratnachal Superfast Express have a halt at Annavaram. The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) operates regular bus services from Kakinada to Tuni, Rajahmundry to Tuni, and Yele-swaram to Tuni via Annavaram. The temple, situated on the hill top is about four furlongs away from its base. It can be reached either by steps covered with canopy, via ghat road or trekked through a rusty stone paved trail road.
The popularity and importance of the temple is gaining among the pilgrims and this place is considered as second only to Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. Festivals are celebrated round the year at this temple with great pomp and show. Some of the popular festivals celebrated are the Kalyanam festival in May, Devi Navaratri festival in September, the Swayamvara Vardhanti of Sraavana Suddha Ekadashi Day, Srirama Kalyana, Kanakadurga Yatra, Prabha Utsavam, Teppa Utsavam and Jalatoranam.
The serene atmosphere of the temple and its surroundings captivate devotees of Lord Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy. The prasadam offered to the devotees has a wonderful taste and it is said that it cannot be replicated.

Bramham Gari Matham

Bramham Gari Matham (also known as Kandimallayapalli or B-Matham) is a small Mandal in Cuddapah District, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is the place where Sri Potuluri Veerabrahmam, who was famous for his preachings and mainly for his remarks on future of the world, stayed. Veerabrahmam is the only futurologist (Prophet) that the East has produced. He entered Jeeva Samadhi in the year 1693. BramhamgariMatham was built in Kandimallayapalli at the place of Jeeva Samadhi. The Matham does not look like a temple but has carved statues and its walls are full of Veerabrahmendra Swamy's preachings and his predictions.

BHONGIRI FORT

Bhongir, Bhongiri or Bhuvanagiri is a town and municipality in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is located in the of (Telangana region and Nalgonda district of the state. It is 48 km from the state capital of Hyderabad. Bhongir is famous for its fort, which became prominent during the rule of the Kakatiyas.
The Fort was built on an isolated monolithic rock by the Western Chalukya ruler Tri-bhuvana-malla Vikram-aditya VI and was named after him as Tribhuvanagiri. This name gradually became Bhuvanagiri and subsequently Bhongir (Because razakars could not pronounce the original name). At the foot of the fortified rocks stands the town of Bhongir, it has a unique egg-shaped construction with two entry points protected by huge rocks, so the fort was considered practically impregnable by invading armies. A moat that encircles the fort, a vast underground chamber, trap doors, an armoury, stables, ponds, wells etc., make for fascinating viewing. The Bala Hisar or citadel on the top of the hill gives a bird's eye view of the neighbouring area. The fort is associated with the rule of the heroic queen Rudra Amma Devi and her grandson Pratapa Rudra. According to legend, there once was an underground corridor connecting Bhongir Fort to Golconda Fort.
Geography

The Town is located around the Bhongir Hill. The Hill has a fort built in the period of the King Vikram-aditya. The Hill is more than 500 feet high spread about 40 acres. The old steps from the bottom of the hill to the top are still intact. The hill also has a Hanuman Temple on it. The Stone Hill also have few Ponds and is famous for its beatle leaves, pottery and textiles.

Demographics

The Municipal area covers 9.63 km². As of 2001 India census, Bhongir had a population of 47,451. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Bhongir has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 78% and female literacy of 61%. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
